TOWN OF WESTON
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
May 5, 2009
1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Milton Olson called the Special Board Meeting to order at 8:10 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisors present: Walter John Chilsen, Tom Salzman, and Robert Wesenick. Also present were Clerk/Treasurer Joan Erdman and 8 visitors. Supervisor Arnie Baumann was absent.
2. RC PAVERS SITE PLAN: Chairman Olson stated that the purpose of this meeting was in response to condition #6 of the Conditional Use Permit (Site Plan Requirements). Supervisor Chilsen confirmed that the site plan is Project #M1330A09 and that building sites are not included in the plan. Randy Christiansen gave an overview of the proposed site plan to Board members. All permits have been obtained, with the exception of the Industrial Discharge permit which is still pending. Supervisor Chilsen questioned the safety of the pond area. The pond will have a 10-foot safety shelf. If Marathon County does not approve the permit, the road and plant would be moved 500 feet. Salzman/Wesenick M/S to approve the Site plan project #M1330A09, C102-107, with two conditions:
1. Pending Marathon County review. If Marathon County does not allow them to work within the 300 feet from backwaters, that the road and asphalt plant be set outside of that 300 feet;
2. also pending obtaining the Industrial Storm Water Discharge General Permit from the DNR Q/C.
3. ADJOURN: Wesenick/Chilsen M/S to adjourn the Special Town of Weston Board meeting at 8:30 pm. Q/C.
