TOWN OF WESTON PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
November 3, 2009
1) Call to Order
Chairman Milton Olson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members present were: Arnie Baumann, Randy Christiansen, D.J. Freeman, and Tom Salzman. Also present were Clerk/Treasurer Joan Erdman, and two visitors (Nathan Wincentsen, Brian Letarski)
2) Approve Minutes of September 29, 2009 Planning Commission Meeting: Salzman/Baumann M/S to approve the minutes of the September 29, 2009 Planning Commission meeting. Q/C

5) New Business:
a) Review of Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment submitted by Wood Haven Estates:
Wood Haven Estates has submitted a request to change the future land use designation on the Future Land Use Map from Forest Land to Single Family Residential on the property located at the end of Riverview Lane in the Town of Weston. The 12 criteria for a land use amendment approval were reviewed.
b) Resolution TW-09-03, Adoption of the Recommended Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan:
Discussion was held on changing the 5 acre minimum lot requirement for conservation subdivisions. Freeman/Christiansen M/S to recommend to the Town of Weston Board approval of resolution TW-09-03 with the addition of item #2: To make the following change to the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan, Strategies/Action Item #2: Continue to encourage residential development via conservation subdivisions or require
minimum 5-acre lots an average minimum of 4.5 acres per lot for traditional residential development. Q/C. A public hearing will be held on December 15.
