TOWN OF WESTON PLAN COMMISSION
September 13, 2011
1) CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Milt Olson called the Town of Weston Plan Commission Meeting to order at 7:01 pm. Plan Commission members present were: Randy Christiansen, D.J. Freeman, Rita Kasten and Mark Thompson. Also present were Joan Erdman, Clerk/Treasurer, and Jennifer Higgins and Scott Tatro from the Village of Weston.
2) MINUTES
Approval of July 18, 2011 Plan Commission Minutes: Freeman/Kasten M/S to approve the July 18, 2011 Plan Commission Minutes. Q/C
3) NEW BUSINESS
a. Discussion on proposed Home/Greenhouse on Highway J & Gusman Road : A request had been received to construct an 80’ x 100’ greenhouse on a lot in the ETZ district that is currently zoned RR. A greenhouse is not permitted in a RR district or by conditional use. The Village would like clarification on the permitted agriculture uses in our zoning code. Jennifer reported that the Village of Weston is in the process of updating the animal husbandry section of their ordinances and has updated all zoning related codes in the last few years. Jennifer will provide a list of these changes for the Plan Commission to go over and determine which of these we would like to address. The Plan Commission will meet the first Tuesday in October (October 4, 2011) to go over the updated zoning code changes in the Village.
